Hi! Donna Rose here. Thanks
for visiting the Cyberbilly Jukebox - the hi tech way to enjoy lo fi sounds!
All you have to do is click on the number of the song you want to hear
- just like a real jukebox! (kinda like those ones they used to have in
the booths at Brownies or the Circle Grill) It's in Shockwave Streaming
Audio, so your selection should start playing right away without a long
wait. Right now I have seven songs loaded up, and I plan to add more /
switch 'em out from time to time, so keep stopping by.
The first song this go-round is Zig Dillon's completely insane "On
Down The Line" which is my favorite song of the moment. It's a real party
kinda record, and it has recently been reissued on the Automatic Bop Vol.
I CD on the Collector's label. Then I put up a couple all time classics
by the Phantom and Herbie Duncan. I like to think that Herbie's "Hot Lips
Baby" going out over the internet is what all this technology has ultimately
been leading up to... Both those songs are currently available on volumes
of the Born Bad series in the popular CD format, although what you're hearing
here is straight off the 45s, baby! And I haven't been able to quit playing
Screaming Lord Sutch's "Till the Following Night" since Halloween, a great
British slab from '61. Then we have Billy Praeger, "Uncle" Buck Lite, and
Royce Porter to round out this here platter party.
Enjoy the sounds! |
